About the work
In this series we can see how Kersh’s work is informed by his study and practice of meditation. Here, each piece appears to have a gateway with dark structures on either side and an opening of light in the middle. Kersh talks about this light in an incorporeal way, as a form of concentration that can pierce through the density of our perceptions, describing how one might feel when moving into a meditative state.
