Multi-disciplinary artist and performer, Daniel Kersh, is a creator of dynamic performances, captivating installations, and immersive multi-sensory experiences. They combine their deep knowledge of art and audiences to make true and lasting impacts on how people see and understand the world. Kersh believes in the transcendental power of art to reach deep into the core of the human experience, offering a spiritual journey that transcends the limitations of the physical world. Each of their productions express a sublime spiritual sensitivity, captivating audiences, and transporting them into states of heightened awareness.
Kersh studied under the mentorship of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Arc3Design, University of Arizona, and Santa Reparata International School of Art. Kersh's artistic pursuits have since taken them around the world, collaborating with multidisciplinary creatives, leaders, and experts. These collaborations result in productions of unparalleled artistic intricacy, merging energy-shifting sound, mesmerizing light displays, and transformative movement. The result is an immersive experience that transcends the senses, transporting audiences to a place beyond the ordinary.
In 2020, Kersh showcased two solo exhibitions and three performances at LUME Gallery in Tribeca, offering audiences an intimate look into their evolving artistic journey. In 2021, their site-specific performance, EGO, a collaboration with Superblue, The Shed, Studio Drift, and ANOHNI, captivated audiences with its innovative approach and was celebrated for its unique synthesis of installation and performance art. In 2022, their solo exhibition, “Vidinės Vizijos” was presented at the Kaunas Cultural Center in Lithuania. In 2023, Kersh was awarded artist-in-residence at Baryshnikov Arts Center and Banff Centre for the Arts and Creativity, where they further pushed the boundaries of their artistic expression. In 2024, their video installation, “Into the Vortex”, was screened in the iconic Times Square, marking a momentous achievement in their career. They were featured in the “Wind, Sand, and Stars” group exhibition at PAI32 gallery in London. Most recently, Kersh presented their performance, “Infinite”, and video installation, “Into the Vortex”, at the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024. Their work, “Infinite” was also presented in the “Hyperspace: Infinity” exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chongqing, China. With an unwavering commitment to elevating human consciousness, Kersh continues to carve a unique path, leaving an indelible mark on the international arts scene.
